Cluedo is a Parker board game where you move from room to room trying to guess who, what and where a murder took place. The mansion it's set in has nine rooms as follows;
- Hallway
- Kitchen
- Study
- Ballroom
- Library
- Lounge
- Conservatory
- Dining Room
- Billard Room
It was while thinking about what sort of house shape to build to create this giant mansion that I realised I already had a dolls house with nine rooms that would work out perfectly for this purpose.
It's one of those houses where the back swings open into two halves allowing access to all nine rooms yet closes up into a nice compact building.
So this is my new project converting this house to suit.
Hello from Greece,I would like to ask you about the dollhouse you used.
ReplyDeleteWhat scale was it?
I would like to order one from greanleaf and because we don't have in Greece,I would like to know what scale fits better.
Thanx
Hi, the house pictured here is a Playmobil one, the Cluedo house is Sylvanian.
ReplyDeleteGreenleaf do not make a house to fit, they use 1:12 or 1:48 scale, where playmobil is closer to 1:16. The nearest in scale would be Lundby. If it's for Playmobil figures I'd suggest just adapting a Playmobil house into the style you'd like. You might find the doors / windows not quite to size otherwise.
Hope this helps, Emma
This is genius idea. Love to see the finished product.
ReplyDeleteHi Emma
ReplyDeleteI think that playmobil is closest to 1:24 scale?
Hope this helps, Chris
Hi Chris,
Deleteno 1:24 is far too small, a chair is only about 1.5" tall, so the closest you can get is 1:6th. The trains are G scale.
nice post
